John Goetz (b. in 1962 in New York) is a German speaking investigative reporter and author. As well as working for Spiegel, he has written for several newspapers, including The Sunday Times, the Los Angeles Times and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
In 2011, John Goetz was awarded the Henri Nannen prize for an article co-written with other Spiegel journalists about a German military blunder that took place in Kunduz, Afghanistan, on September 4, 2009.
