Joachim von Puttkamer is director of the Imre Kertész Kolleg and professor of East European history at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. His research covers modern Polish, Hungarian, Czech and Slovak history, with a special focus on the politics of history and museums in Central and Eastern Europe.
