Athenians in their own words

Published on 14 June 2013 at 14:12

As Greece finds itself once again in the grips of political crisis a year after the elections of June 2012, Presseurop presents Athens, a Greek Tragedy, a web documentary by Claire Jeantet and Fabrice Catérini.

Exploring a city battered by economic and social crises, this photographic investigation lets residents of the Greek capital explain their everyday lives in their own words. From the contested neighbourhood of Exarcheia to the posh suburb of Kifissia, it sheds new light on a dark reality at the heart of Europe.
