Briefing: VoxEurop | Are European cities prepared for global warming?

As Europe braces for this year's major heatwave to date, data journalist Nicolas Kayser-Bril investigated on the ways European cities are coping with the consequences of climate change on key issues such as education, health and transportation. His findings are not really encouraging, but something is beginning to change.

At a more global level, Stefano Valentino explains how satellite data may help to predict the consequences that melting ice and rising sea levels will have on our economies over the next hundred years, while Karola Klatt reports on what is being done at the EU level to radically curb carbon emission.
