Slobodan Milošević and Ivica Dačić

A former spokesman for Slobodan Milošević, Serbia's Interior Minister Ivica Dačić is now the kingmaker of Serbian politics. Having won 14.5% of the vote in the May 6 elections, his Serbian Socialist Party (SDS) is needed to prop up President Boris Tadić's Democratic Party in order to form a government. On 22.09%, Tadić's Democratic Party came behind the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS, nationalist) which topped the poll with 24%.
