Despite the fact that German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble coveted the post, Luxembourg PM Jean-Claude Juncker has been re-appointed chairman of the Eurogroup, a post he has held since 2005. Juncker, however, is likely to resign before the end of his new two and half year term, making way for Schäuble, according to an informal arrangement.
