Ivica Dačić and Slobodan Milošević

Ivica Dačić's government was invested by the Parliament of Serbia on July 27. The Serbian Socialist Party (SDS) leader was Slobodan Milošević's spokesman during the latter's presidency of Yugoslavia in the 90s and has never formally acknowledged Serbia's responsibility for the wars in the former Yugoslavia.

Dačić now heads a coalition which includes the nationalist Serbian Party of Progress (SNS), which is led by President Tomislav Nikolić. His stated aim is for reconciliation between his country and the European Union, economic recovery and resumption of dialogue with Kosovo.
