The Constitutional Court (CCR), chaired by Augustin Zegrean (in the drawing), decided on August 21 that the referendum of 29 July – by which he was asked to confirm the removal of President Traian Băsescu – is not valid, required number of voters (half plus one of eligible) have not been met.
