The French press considers the national football team to be "ridiculously depressing" after its World Cup defeat on the 17 June against Mexico. One player has insulted the team trainer, the team refuse to train together, an official of the French Football Federation has resigned and the Ministry for Sport is preparing to intervene. For some, the situation even reflects the current unrest in French society in this crisis.
