"Bid for 2018 World Cup 2018 draws storm of criticism," headlines De Morgenin the run-up to next week’s visit to Belgium and the Netherlands by FIFA officials who will rule on the two countries’ eligibility to jointly host the tournament. Several Flemish political parties are unhappy because measures to address requests from FIFA in the bid book "were approved during a political crisis” in April by the Yves Leterme government, which subsequently collapsed.
