"Time to conclude a deal," headlines De Morgen. According to the leader of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) Bart De Wever quoted by the daily, after six months of negotiations, it is high time that Belgium established a government. The Flemish nationalist is hoping that this latest statement will put an end to controversy sparked by an interview he gave to the German weekly Der Spiegel, in which he remarked that "Belgium is the sick man of Europe." De Morgen also reports that a ten-day review of the Belgian economy by the IMF should put an end to rumours about the Belgian public spending deficit and its potential to jeopardise the stability of the euro. The IMF affirmed that " Belgium is not the sick man of Europe," but urged negotiators to get back to work on the formation of a new government, which will be needed to address the economic challenges faced by the country.
