The processing of asylum requests in Bulgaria will be accelerated so that applicants who are rejected can be expelled more rapidly, Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski announced on November 6.
With the country besieged by refugees, the PM said that the measures put in place to cope with the situation will cost approximately 20m Bulgarian leva (€10m), reports Bulgarian daily Pressa.
The government already announced measures to reinforce border controls and to establish detention camps.
