‘The faces of the Gambia government’

The socialists, the liberals and the Greens adopted on December 3 an agreement on a coalition that will support the government led by liberal Xavier Bettel. The order of the coalition’s political colours — red-blue-green — is identical to the flag of the Gambia.
The new government, which is to be sworn in on December 4, is composed of 15 ministers, including four women, reports Luxemburger Wort. For the newspaper

… one of the main challenges will be to present a balanced budget by 2018. The coalition aims to save €1.5bn, which is close to 10 per cent of the overall budget. Most of the savings will take the form of spending cuts.
