Academia Caţavencu

Launched in 1991, the Academy Caţavencu [named after a famous Romanian comic book character] is a Romanian satirical magazine. Like Le Canard Enchaîné in France, it rounds on the entire political class in Romania. Academia also produces Guerrilla Radio, the magazines Tabu, SuperBebe, Aventuri la Pescuit and 24-FUN and controls the newspaper Cotidianul. The website gives access to the latest edition of the magazine (back issues are pay-to-read), discussion forums and more.
