Founded in 1893, Stavanger Aftenblad (“Stavanger Evening Paper”), which is often more simply called Aftenbladet is based in Stavanger, Norway’s fourth largest city. The title, which for many years was the voice of the country’s Liberal Party, has followed a politically neutral line since the 1970s.
