The Daily Star

The first foreign language daily to be published in the Lebanon, The Daily Star was founded in 1952 par Kamel Mroué,who previously founded the pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat.

Obliged to cease publication during the 1980s because of the civil war in the Lebanon, The Daily Star was relaunched in 1996, and has remained one of the most widely regarded titles in the Lebanese press.
