Het proces tegen Akis Tsohatzopoulos is op 22 april in Athene van start gegaan. De 73-jarige de socialistische voormalige minister van Defensie wordt ervan beschuldigd steekpenningen te hebben aangenomen tijdens de aankoop van Russische luchtdoelraketten en Duitse onderzeeërs.
Tsohatzopoulos is begin maart al veroordeeld tot acht jaar gevangenis wegens belastingontduiking.
