It is "the meeting of the year," announces [Ta Nea](http:// http://www.tanea.gr/default.asp?pid=2&ct=1&artId=4619212), showing George Papandreou and Angela Merkel arguing over a euro coin. On Tuesday, February 22, the Greek Prime Minister is meeting the German Chancellor in Berlin to assess the potential for a "final settlement of the Greek problem," writes the Athens daily, which notes that the meeting comes two days after Merkel’s party lost the regional elections in Hamburg, the first stop in a busy election year in Germany. George Papandreou wants the Greek problem to be decoupled from the social and budgetary requirements laid out in the competitiveness pact pushed by Germany and France. Papandreou and Merkel should also be discussing the extension of the repayment of the 110 billion euros borrowed at a preferential rate from the IMF and the EU."
