De Italiaanse journalist Federico Geremicca (1956) begon in 1982 bij L'Unità en ging in 1990 werken voor La Repubblica waar hij allereerst redacteur van de politieke pagina's was alvorens hij verantwoordelijk werd voor de pagina's over Sicilië. In 1999 stapte hij over naar La Stampa waar hij adjunct-hoofdredacteur werd.
