Syrian - "... you wouldn't have any planes instead?"
On February 27, the EU tightened its sanctions against the regime of Bashar al-Assad. The bloc decided to freeze assets of the Syrian central bank in Europe, prohibit trade in precious metals, as well as refuse Syrian air freight. It also recognised the Syrian National Council as a "legitimate interlocutor".
