Belgian PM Yves Leterme has resigned his post after his coalition partners Flemish liberals Open VLD left his government. The parties had failed to agree on an eventual linguistic partition of the Brussels Capital Region (BHV), the only bilingual electoral district in Belgium, and a bone contention between Flemish speakers and Francophones.
