Syriza, the radical left party run by Alexis Tsipras, won Greece’s snap general elections with an unprecedented score on 25 January. The party took 149 of the 300 seats in Parliament. Tsipras is now charged with forming the new government as European leaders are watching with a mix of hope and worry how Syriza will implement its anti-austerity platform.
