Born in 1929, Tadeusz Olszanski is a journalist, essayist and Polish translator of Hungarian literature. Having spent the Second World War in Hungary, he later returned to Poland to study journalism in Warsaw. For many years, his articles on sports and Hungary related issues have featured in the weekly Polityka.
