Figaro's editor and senior reporter François Hauter has worked as a correspondent in Africa, China, and the United States, and covered wars in Lebannon, Chad, Cambodia and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Albert Londres prize in 1986 and is the author of a number of books, including a novel set in contemporary China, Rouge glacé.
