In an interview granted to six European daily newspapers, the German Chancellor has affirmed that “further restructuring of Greek debt will not be necessary.”
Speaking to journalists from Le Monde, La Stampa, El País, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and The Guardian ahead of a Berlin conference on youth employment on July 3, Angela Merkel insisted “there would be no lost generation,” and added that “the problem of unemployment cannot be resolved only with money. Reforms are also necessary.”
