
Around 1.4m people took part in a demonstration "for all" against gay marriage and adoption on March 24, according to figures provided by organisers. Police said the number of protesters was around 300,000.
The law, which will allow same-sex couples to marry and adopt children, has already been approved by parliament and is due to be debated by the Senate on April 4.
