
Otfried Preussler, the author of children's books, died on February 20 at the age of 89. His stories, including The Robber Hotzenplotz, The Little Ghost and Krabat have stimulated the imagination of children and young adults in Germany, and elsewhere, for the past 60 years.
His books have been translated into 55 languages.
