According to the Budapest daily, 60% of Hungarian women who would like to have more children feel obliged to postpone or forgo giving birth. At the same time, the number of people coming to live in the country (25,000 per year) is significantly lower than the number of people (an estimated 34,000 per year) who emigrate to other European countries and the United States.
