Presseurop.eu wins award

Published on 23 March 2010

On 22 March, presseurop.eu won the 2010 award for best electronic EU news source. This prize is awarded annually by the European Information Association to new European media that are “innovative in nature and reliable in content”. The EIA is an independent London-based “international body of information specialists whose aim is to develop, co-ordinate and improve access to EU information”. The EIA singled out presseurop.eu for "nurturing greater understanding between European citizens” and for “its role in the emergence of a European citizenry”. Less than a year after presseurop.eu first got off the ground, this is a great encouragement for our team of twelve journalists to keep providing our readers every day with the best of the European press.
