José Manuel Barroso's term as European Commission president ends in 2014, but already several possible successor's names are circulating. According to the Financial Times, the Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt seems well placed. Thorning-Schmidt's spokesman has denied that he is interested in the position.
