"The opponents of nuclear energy have got the government surrounded," says the Tagesspiegelafter tens of thousands of people protested outside the Chancellery in Berlin against the decision to prolong the life of Germany's atomic power stations. The daily maintains that those who criticise the agreement between the nuclear industry and the government as an "attack on democracy" have forgotten that nuclear energy's days are numbered, while the Tageszeitung notes that many of the protestors come "from Angela Merkel's own camp".
