Representatives of Greece’s international creditors (the EU, ECB, and IMF) are expected to arrive the country on November 5 for a further inspection mission before deciding on the release of a further tranche of financial aid. Their visit coincides with a troubled political climate, in the wake of the assassination of two members of Golden Dawn on November 1.
Manos Kapelonis and Giorgos Fountoulis, aged 22 and 27, were shot by killers on a motorcycle in front of the premises of the neo-Nazi party, which they joined around a year ago, explains Ta Nea. Anti-terrorist police are investigating the murder.
“Political violence cannot be tolerated,” remarks the daily —
On the one hand, we have to prevent Golden Dawn from using these murders to undermine the investigation of its criminal activities. On the other, the public must have full information on the killers, as it did when the ‘November 17’ [terrorist group] was dismantled and members of Golden Dawn were charged with the murder of Pavlos Fyssas. The provocateurs must be unmasked!
