Two accomplices of the suicide bomber responsible for the attack in Burgas, in 2012, should be tried in Bulgaria before the end of the year, reports Bulgarian daily 24 Tchassa.
The last piece of evidence presented by investigators is a radio transmitter used by the suspects and allegedly bought by members of Hezbollah. This information is thought to have influenced the recent EU decision to add the armed branch of the Lebanese Shiite movement to the EU list of terrorist organisations.
The two suspects, Meliad Farah and Hassan el Hajj Hassan, were allegedly recruited by Hezbollah in 2010 when they were students at the University of Beirut. They later joined forces with the suicide bomber who used the pseudonym Jacques-Philippe Martin. Six people, including five Israelis, were killed in the attack on a tourist bus carrying passengers arriving from Tel Aviv.
