Main rival to Sme as Slovakia’s top selling newspaper, Pravda (Truth) was initially the official paper of the Communist Party. Aimed at a general readership with a centre right orientation, only its title reminds of its past. In 2006, it was acquired by Northcliffe International, publishers of British paper, The Daily Mail.
