Daniel Dăianu (born in 1952), is a Romanian economist, writer and journalist. He is a columnist for daily newspaper Jurnalul Naţional and writes a blog for another daily Adevărul.
A former MEP (with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats), a member of the European Council for Foreign Relations, he is director of the ISEE, the Institute for Extreme Events, in Bucharest, created in May 2013 within the framework of the National School for Political and Administrative Studies.
