"A political majority has said yes to the euro pact," announces Danish dailyPolitiken two days before the EU summit on 24/25 March, when Prime Minister Lars Rasmussen Lars Løkke should commit Denmark to the europact. The daily explains that following several days of discussions the liberal-conservative coalition government had to guarantee in writing to the opposition that accession to the pact does not mean joining the single currency and that the country will fully preserve its sovereignty over fiscal policy.
