According to Eurostat figures published July 31, the unemployment rate in the eurozone is 12.1 per cent, and 10.9 per cent across the EU.
The number of Europeans without jobs has gone slightly down compared with the preceeding months, but has risen by more than a million in one year. Eurostat notes that “in one year, the unemployment rate increased in 17 member states and decreased in 10.”
