Born in 1961, François Thomazeau worked for many years as a sports journalist for Reuters, before he rose to fame as one of the leading lights of a new generation of Marseille-based thriller writers. In the year 2000, He founded the Ecailler publishing house, which specialises in the work of writers from southern France.
