Frédéric Faux is a French journalist specialising in Latin America. He works for Le Figaro but also to other titles in the French media such as RFI or La Presse. He specialises in topics related to violence, such as his book Les maras, gangs d’enfants (The maras, child gangs), published in 2006.
He also co-wrote the documentary Who killed Poveda? about the assassination of Franco-Spanish journalist in El Salvador in September 2009 while he was making a documentary about the Maras The Vida Loca.
