Jakob Von Weizsäcker

Jakob von Weizsäcker (1970) is a member of the European Parliament representing the state of Thuringia for the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD). An Economist, he is a member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee. Prior to his election to the European Parliament, he worked at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., the Brussels-based think tank Bruegel and the Thuringia Economics Ministry in Erfurt.
