Oleksandra Matviichuk is a human rights lawyer and the head of the Ukrainian Centre for Civil Liberties, which was a co-recipient of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize because of its activity in promoting human rights legislation, exercising public oversight over law enforcement agencies and the judiciary, conducting educational activities for young people, implementing international solidarity programs and working to foster democracy in Ukraine and the OSCE region. Matviichuk also coordinates the NGO Euromaidan SOS.
