Peter Frankopan

Dr Peter Frankopan is Director of the Centre for Byzantine Research at Oxford University where he is also Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College. He works on the history of the Byzantine Empire, the Slavonic world and relations between Christianity and Islam, and is also the author of The First Crusade: The Call from the East (Bodley Head/Harvard UP 2012).
