Erik Izraelewicz, director of Le Monde, died on November 27 after a heart attack in the offices of the Paris-based daily. Aged 58, he had headed the newspaper since 2011.

Presseurop shares the newspaper's grief, as our main editorial department is part of Courrier International, a magazine owned by the Le Monde group, where Erik Izraelewicz was Vice President of the Supervisory Board.
