Several hundred students encircled the Bulgarian Parliament on 12 November to demand the resignation of the government, which they accuse of being too closely linked “with the oligarchy”.

There were clashes with police and a number of arrests when the demonstrators attempted to cross the security cordon around the Parliament.

At the same time, Pressa reports that the students decided to partially lift the blockade of the University of Sofia, which has been ongoing since October 25, to allow university administrators to pay salaries and student grants.
