Syria: Two journalists killed

Both the Sunday Times war correspondent Marie Colvin and the French photojournalist Remi Ochlik were killed in Homs, Syria, on February 22. On January 11, French television cameraman Gilles Jacquier died in the same city. Bashar Assad's regime is now suspected of targeting journalists to dissuade them from covering the counter-insurgency.
