‘The riches’ tricks’

The names of thousands of people from across the world who hold secret offshore bank accounts have been revealed after a leak of 2m documents from sources in the tax haven, the British Virgin Islands.
The information has come to light due to a joint project between the the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists [ICIJ] and a host of newspapers around the globe including The Guardian, Le Monde and Le Soir. The findings will be released over the course of the week.
Among the those named are French President François Hollande's campaign co-treasurer Jean-Jacques Augier, the president of Azerbaijan, the wife of Russia's deputy prime minister Igor Shuvalov, Maria Imelda Marcos Manotoc, a daughter of the former president of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos and the German playboy and businessman Gunter Sachs.
