"The exchange rate policy" called for by French President François Hollande in his speech to the European Parliament "is not the correct instrument to improve competitiveness," the German Chancellor said on February 6.
The two leaders met in Paris at a friendly football game between their two national teams. For the first time in more than 26 years, Germany beat France.
