The most popular country in the world is Germany. These are the findings of a poll conducted by the BBC, which questioned 26,000 people in 25 countries.
With 59 per cent positive opinions, Angela Merkel's country is ahead of Canada, the United Kingdom and Japan in terms of popularity. France is in fifth place, ahead of the European Union as a whole.
