When it presents its recommendations for 2013, on May 29, the European Commission is not expected to launch an excessive deficit procedure against Slovenia, announces Delo.
“Ljubjana will be the subject of a certain number of recommendations,” adds the daily, in particular with regard to the bank losses that “have cost the country its competitiveness”, and over indebted companies.
According to a source in Brussels cited by Delo, the launch of a procedure could have aggravated the situation by attracting “the ire of the markets”.
