Cypriot banks finally reopened on March 28 after 12 days of closures following the Cypriot banking crisis.
In contrast to fears of massive withdrawals and trouble, the queues of bank customers remained calm.
“Those who waited in line did so with dignity, calm, patience, self-confidence and hope. Yesterday, the people queueing showed strength, kindness, and confidence,” reports the daily enthusiastically.
In Cyprus, “a beautiful island and a true people have never had rulers that genuinely represent them and really fight for them,” complains the newspaper.
